Strathearn was once again battered by storms, with roads closed and power outages.
Residents were forced to take lengthy diversions on Tuesday as Tayside Police, Perth and Kinross Council, landowners, Scottish Hydro and Scotland Transerv worked to remove fallen trees and electricity wires from roads in the area.
Among those routes affected was the A85 between Crieff and Comrie, the A822 between Muthill and Crieff, the A822 between Gilmerton and Amulree and the Muthill to Auchterarder road in the Tullibardine area.
And due to the problems with overhead lines, the Hydro had to turn off power to local homes to allow clearing of debris and reinstatement of cables.
A spokesperson for Scottish Hydro Electric told the Herald on Tuesday afternoon: “We have had a couple of faults reported in the Crieff area, and as a result have isolated supplies to respond to emergency calls.
