Organisers of the Loon Braes Parknership Picnic in the Park on Saturday are already looking forward to hosting a similar event next year following the success of this year’s event.
Taking place in Davie Park in Rattray, the event was organised by the Parknership in cooperation with the Strathmore Centre for Youth Development (SCYD) and saw a good turnout of people enjoying a range of free entertainment, stalls and a picnic lunch.
Local groups such as the Gayle Duncan School of Dance and the Blairgowrie and Rattray Marching Band performed throughout the afternoon.
There was also live music, bouncy castles, paintballing, a car boot sale and a birds of prey exhibition.
Blairgowrie-based officers from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service brought a fire engine and a mobile fire safety unit to the event to highlight to visitors potential fire hazards within the home.
