RATTRAY Art Festival will take place in Rattray Hall, Balmoral Road, Rattray, on Saturday and Sunday (August 28 and 29) from 10am to 6pm.
The exhibition will include work by noted landscape and wildlife artist Alan B. Hayman. Originally from Montrose, he lived for many years in Glen Lyon where he ran his own art gallery, and he now lives in Argyll.
Other noted artists from outwith the area include John MacDonald and Philip Raskin from Ayrshire.
However, most of the work will come from the extraordinary array of talent that exists in this area.
Many, but not all of these artists will also be taking part in Perthshire Open Studios and are well known locally or further afield.
All the artists have generously agreed to give 20 per cent of takings to the RNLI.
Prices will range from £2.50 to £4000, so there is something for everyone.
The organisers will also run the dvd of part of the historic Laing Photographic Collection of local photographs which are of great interest. The DVDs will be on sale.
A coffee morning – in aid of RNLI – is to be held in the Rattray Lesser Hall on Saturday, August 28, from 10.30am to noon.
