What is Noah's Ark?
It's a soft play barn for under-12s, with different areas for children under three, from three to five and from five to 12. There are scramble nets, aerial slides, rope bridges, ball pools and soft toys. They also have indoor go- karting and trampolines for all ages outside.
What made you want to go to Noah's Ark?
We went there in the summer with the Twins' Club and had such a great time we decided to go back for a family day out. We live in Edinburgh, but Noah's Ark is one of the best soft play centres we have found and is worth travelling to.
What did you like about it?
The areas for different age groups mean you can relax, knowing your children are not going to get knocked over by the older ones. And it is well enough sectioned off that we didn't have to worry about our kids running off into areas for bigger children.
You have to watch your own children, but you can sit and have a coffee and watch from the sidelines. The security is good, too, because the play area is closed off so the children can't walk out of the area on their own.
Was there enough to do?
Definitely. We easily spent two hours there and older children could have perhaps stayed longer. We had our lunch there as well. The food was great and there was plenty to choose from for children and adults.
What was the twins' favourite part?
I think the variety was what they liked most. They still talk about the trampolines and they loved the slide that landed in the ball pool. They also enjoyed the big soft shapes that they could build up together and the wee steam train- ride. They loved watching the older children racing on the go-karts through the glass screen from the cafe.
What about mum and dad?
We had a great day. We were able to sit and have a cup of tea in peace, while watching them and making sure they were OK - and we had a nice lunch. We even had a shot on the trampolines.
Would you go back?
We certainly would - I know my niece, who is eight, would really enjoy it, too. Jonathan and Forbes loved it and when they turn three they will be able to go on the go- karts accompanied by an adult.
Overall, what did you think of the place?
It is very well organised and they seem to have thought of everything. For example, you get a box to put your shoes in, which makes them easy to find when you're finished for the day.
The changing facilities were very impressive, too, with room for changing up to three babies at a time.
The staff were great and very approachable - as they should be in a place like that - but you sometimes don't always find they are.
As with most things in life, it's the little things that really make the difference.
