G-Shock G-Lide review

Aug 8 2008

By Richard Mooney

The new Casio G-Lide watches really are something else for your wrist.

They can be used for anything- swimming, as a normal time teller, or a sweet-to-look-at fashion accessory.

It's hard to imagine that Casio have been making these watches for almost a quarter of a century and age certainly hasnt hampered this little blighters classic, retro design.

It has your standard Casio features- world time in 29 time zones, shock resistance, countdown timer, calendar and a multi-function snooze-alarm.

Now the cool factor comes into play when we look at the moon and tide functionality of the watch.

The Moon Graph function and Tide function are displayed on the watch face. The shaded part under the wave curve shows the tidal movements and the unshaded parts show the visible portion.

The Data is based on your own specific longitude and lunar tidal interval.

One drawback is that the £69.99 price tag, but if you're after a good digital watch, that isnt too feature heavy, look no further.
